AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi today said that the BRS leaders needed to introspect about their comments on the Musi river beautification project.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Owaisi asked, "Didn't the BRS leaders make plans to take up the Musi river project? Didn't I ask them to not take up the project? Should I reveal all the things now? If I open my mouth, the BRS leaders will be embarrassed," he said.
He also said that the AIMIM would welcome the Musi project if it was taken up without any houses being shifted.
Training his guns on the BRS, Owaisi said that the policies of the BRS leaders needed to be stable. He also claimed that the BRS won more seats in the GHMC elections than it would normally have due to the support of the AIMIM.
"If the BRS changed its candidates for 24 Assembly constituencies, it would have won the elections again. The BRS leaders turned arrogant in their rule," he said.
Referring then to the comments of CMs Chandrababu Naidu and Stalin that there was a need for the people to have more children, he said that there would have been a huge controversy if he had made the same comments. He also said that if the constituencies were redistributed according to population, it would be a loss for South India and that the number of Assembly and Lok Sabha seats for the region would decrease.
