Maha CM Ashock Chavan accuses Naidu of using Babli for political benefit.
Hyderabad | 17th July 2010
Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Saturday assured that the Maharashtra government will abide by the Supreme Court judgment over the Babli Irrigation Project.

Talking to media persons after meeting UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh separately, Chavan alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has undertaken the tour to the site of Babli Irrigation Project for his political benefit.

The Mahrashtra Chief Minister further said that the TDP chief's planned visit to the Babli site has created a law and order situation in the region.

Chavan said the Nanded police will deal with the situation on the ground and asserted that the TDP delegation will not be allowed to visit the project site.
