Congress leader and former MP Madhu Yashki Goud today came down heavily on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and said that there was a need to "unseat" the CM from power for allowing the "traitorous MLAs" of his party into the TRS.
He made these remarks while addressing a meeting of Congress activists at the Kandukur crossroads in Rangareddy district.
The party had organised state-wide bullock cart and cycle rallies to condemn the state and union governments for the "steep increases" in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. During the demonstration at Kandukur, Goud too drove a bullock cart.
Addressing the gathering at the protest site, he alleged that the CM was "looting the state" like a thief from the epic story, Alibaba and The 40 Thieves.
The leader also alleged that the state and union governments were burdening the common people of Telangana and India by constantly increasing the prices of petrol products.
Stating that the Congress was "the party of the common people" of the country, he called upon the people of the state to defeat the two parties, the TRS and the BJP, in power at the state and the Center respectively.
Then, Goud once again called KCR, who had allowed the "traitorous MLAs" of the Congress party to join the TRS, a "big thief".
DCC president Challa Narasimha Reddy, former MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, party leader Malreddy Ramreddy and other party activists also took part in the protest program.
