Lok Satta Party President Jayaprakash Narayan today said that the Centre ought to stick to its commitment of according Special Status to Andhra Pradesh to help it recover from post-bifurcation losses.
Speaking after releasing a booklet on "Road Map To AP Special Status", JP said that the people supported and voted for TDP and BJP expecting in the hopes that Special Status would be granted to them, which in turn would help provide incentives and concessions for industries, and job opportunities.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, with the cooperation of others, should collectively strive to get Special Status for the State.
The Centre start by announcing Special Status to districts in Rayalaseema, North Andhra and North Telangana regions, if it thinks that other States would raise the same demand after Andhra Pradesh, the Lok Satta leader said.
