Lok Satta To Contest 50 TN Seats

The Lok Satta Party declared that Makkal Sakti Katchi, its Tamil Nadu chapter, will field 50 candidates in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled for April.

The Lok Satta Party (LSP) on Saturday declared that Makkal Sakti Katchi, its Tamil Nadu chapter, will field around 50 candidates in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for April 2011.

LSP President Jayaprakash Narayan left for Chennai on Saturday to meet the party leaders and the Assembly elections contestants.

A number of voluntary organizations that are fighting against corruption and agitating for electoral reforms, have joined the LSP to usher in new politics.

Lok Satta Working Committee members Narra Sridhar and Jeedigunta Venkateswarlu have been engaged in finalizing the candidates and drawing the campaign strategy.
