KTR Slams Police Over Use Of Foul Language

Hyderabad | 18th July 2024
BRS working president K T Rama Rao today questioned the DGP on the behaviour of the police of the State towards its citizens.

He was responding to a viral video of Cyberabad police personnel abusing a common citizen in extremely foul language.

A video of the traffic police manhandling and abusing a truck driver near Gandi Maisamma Temple on Outer Ring Road had gone viral on the social media. In this context, KTR responded and asked whether this was acceptable language for the police department. He advised the DGP to remember that the people were paying the salaries of the police and the government officials.

He said that the manner in which police were behaving with people had come to his attention many times, and that even though there were tens of videos on the social media, the police were not responding. He suggested that special training classes be arranged for the police personnel in dealing with the public.
