KTR Slams Government Over Demolition In Peerzadiguda

BRS working president and Sircilla MLA K T Rama Rao today expressed his displeasure over government authorities demolishing a huge structure located in survey number 1 of the Peerjadiguda municipal corporation limits.

"Former Congress MLA Sudheer Reddy today demolished the houses of people who constructed them on plots sold by his own Congress leaders and regularised by his own Congress government. There needs to be an investigation into this. Get an intelligence report on the atrocities committed in Medchal Assembly constituency by Sudheer Reddy, who had earlier campaigned there claiming he was like the elder brother of the residents. And will the BRS leaders who have gone out there in support of the people be detained by the police? If you do that, the people will just revolt. Your detentions cannot stop public anger," KTR said.

He alleged that it was Congress leaders Ramdas Goud and Jagadeeswar Reddy, and the family of Congress corporator Amar Singh, who had sold these plots to innocent people. "These plots were then regularised by the then Y S Rajasekhar Reddy Congress government in 2008. The revenue authorities had earlier issued an NOC declaring it as patta land. Many people are taking loans from banks and constructing houses after taking permission from municipal authorities subject to government regulations. But Sudheer Reddy harassed the officials and got these houses, constructed by hard-working, innocent people, demolished today, spending lakhs of rupees," he said.

KTR said that to permanently solve the problems of the owners of the Saipriya and Satyanarayanapuram Colony plots under the Peerzadiguda municipal corporation limits, the BRS government had included them under 118 GO and benefited the plot owners. "But the inefficient government of the Congress, which came to power in the name of better public administration, is demolishing the houses of the innocent plot owners. The people are sure to put an end to the persecution of the people by the Congress government. As soon as the BRS comes back to power in the future, justice will be done to those plot owners," he said.
