KTR Behind Rs 1,000-Crore Scam In Thimmapur Bhoodan Lands: Congress
Revanth Reddy alleged that the IT minister and other BRS leaders had committed a land scam of Rs 1,000 crore in bhoodan lands located in the village Thimmapur.
TPCC president A Revanth Reddy today alleged that Telangana Industries Minister K T Rama Rao and the ruling BRS leaders had committed a land scam of Rs 1,000 crore in bhoodan lands located in the native village of union minister G Kishan Reddy, Thimmapur.
He alleged that 146 acres of prohibited land of the village were sold by the BRS leaders.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan today, Reddy asked how the sale of the land was done despite specific orders not to sell it, and demanded that action against those responsible for the "scam", including against the Collector, the MRO and the sub-registrar.
"And why is union minister Kishan Reddy not speaking when Bhoodan lands in his native village are being encroached upon? Why is he not complaining against the Collector to the DoPT and the vigilance commission?" he also asked.
Revanth Reddy said that the bhoodan lands were all assigned lands, and that the Congress government had included them in the prohibited list. He said that registrations could not take place for the lands in the list, but that these lands were yet not on Dharani's prohibited list.
"The Bhoodan Board had written a letter to the then Collector stating that the bhoodan lands in Thimmapur had been encroached upon. Kishan Reddy too had written a letter to the then Collector in 2008 on the lands on the same issue when he was an MLA. However, the ban on the lands, which were prohibited lands before Dharani's arrival, was lifted after Dharani came. And the sale and purchase of the lands is being done through Dharani, and all the sold lands have gone to KCR's followers," Revanth Reddy alleged.
