Komatireddy Accuses KCR Of Looting Rs 42,000 Crore
Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy accused the Telangana CM of looting Rs 42,000 crore of public money in the name of the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project.
Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of looting Rs 42,000 crore of public money in the name of the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project by issuing GO Nos 299, 300 and 301.
Speaking after meeting the Principal Secretary of Finance department Ramakrishna Rao at the Secretariat, he alleged that almost all the funds of the State government were now going towards the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project due to KCR's vested interest in it, at the expense of other irrigation projects in the State.
He urged the Principal Secretary to release the pending bills of the Pillaipally, Dharmareddy and Bunsdigani canal works. He claimed that the contractors of these projects had stopped the works as their bills were kept pending by the State government, and asked the government to release Rs 50 crore for land acquisition and Rs 45 crore to the contractors.
He also said that the State government owed another Rs 100 crore in incentives to dairy farmers, and warned the State government that his party would lay siege to the State secretariat if it did not clear all pending dues immediately.
Reddy also claimed that KCR had turned the State debt-ridden, and that even the authorities of the Union government were concerned now about the financial position of the State government.
