The union minister asked the CM if he had taken steps to reopen the several closed industrial units in Telangana first before deciding to buy the Vizag Steel Plant.
Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy today came down heavily on Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao and alleged that the CM had made it his routine to criticise the BJP-led union government every day after forming his BRS party.
Reddy also alleged that the CM had abandoned the governance of the state to pursue his national ambitions.
Speaking to media persons at the BJP State headquarters, the minister said that the CM had sent a team of Singereni officials to Vizag claiming that they would buy the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and also that several State ministers had made statements on the issue. He claimed that the workers of the Singereni Collieries were unhappy at these statements about taking over the Vizag Steel Plant.
Reddy asked the BRS leaders if they had taken steps to reopen the several closed industrial units in Telangana first. He alleged that the CM had failed to fulfill his promise of reopening the famous Nizam Sugars factory within 90 days of coming into power, and had no right to talk about the Vizag Steel Plant. He said that this was just another attempt by KCR's family to divert the attention of the people from the BRS' failures.
Referring to the decision of KCR to unveil the statue of B R Ambedkar, he claimed that the CM had played a political game by unveiling the statue of Ambedkar 9 years after coming into power.
Speaking further, he also alleged that the CM was not following the tradition of presenting silk clothes at the Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple at Bhadrachalam ever since he had become the CM, and asked how the CM had time to attend iftar parties but did not have time to visit the Bhadrachalam temple.
He also alleged that the Dalit Bandhu scheme had turned into a scheme for the BRS party workers and supporters.
