Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Saturday demanded that senior Congress leader K V P Ramachandra Rao be kept away from the new government if chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy really desires transparency in his administration.
Addressing media persons at the TDLP, Muddukrishnama Naidu said that the CM had vowed to proved a clean and transparent administration, and described KVP as one of the stumbling blocks in this stated purpose. He said that KKR's stated purpose would be lost if KVP is given any position in the government since he was facing many allegations in irregularities.
He further advised KKR to pick those as ministers legislators who had never faced any allegations of corruption. If KKR does not do so, his intentions would be suspect, he said.
The senior TDP leader further stated that if the CM keeps his promise to provide a clean and corruption-free government, his party would offer its support. He also warned that the TDP would fight the government tooth-and-nail if the promised aims were sidelined.
