Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today visited the Muchchinthal Ashram of seer Chinna Jeeyar Swamy on the city outskirts along with ministers T Harish Rao and V Prashanth Reddy, MP Santhosh, CS Somesh Kumar and other officials.
The ashram rithviks welcomed the CM with a traditional purnakumbham as the Swamy felicitated KCR with a garland.
The CM then made a visit to the yagashalas on the premises and enquired about the preparations for the upcoming yagams.
For the unversed, the ashram has installed a 216-feet Ramanuja Swamy panchaloha statue at the premises, and it is scheduled to be inaugurated in February. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers of some states are expected to be present for the launch of the statue. These yagams are being conducted ahead of the launch of the statue, and as many as 1,035 homakundams have been set up at the ashram for the yagams to mark the launch of the statue, according to reports.
KCR instructed the CS to make the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yagams. He also directed the officials concerned to supply Mission Bhagiratha water and power uninterruptedly for the yagams.
The CM also discussed with the seer, the mega re-launch of the renovated Yadadri temple and related auspicious programs.
The state government is to re-start the famous temple on March 28 with a Maha Samprokshana Yagam and related programs from March 21, according to reports.
