Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was once again trying to deceive the people of Karimnagar district in the name of Maner River Front.
The Chief Minister was indulging in inaugurations without releasing the funds needed for the projects, he said.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Ponnam asked the Chief Minister what happened to the assurances given to the people in the 2014 elections. The Chief Minister had told to the people that he would transform Karimnagar city into another London, Ponnam said, and ridiculed KCR saying that the only notable feature about Karimnagar was all the pits on the roads.
He alleged that the Chief Minister was not a doer but only someone who gave assurances. The farmers of the state were facing severe hardships in trying to sell their produce, and people across the state were suffering from a shortage of drinking water, but the CM was doing nothing about these real problems, he claimed.
