With Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promising to take care of her education and other expenses in future, some even at his own peronal expense, the girl tortured by her father and stepmother, Pratyusha, 19, who is recuperating at Aware Global Hospital, is all set to get a new life.
KCR today paid a visit to the hospital along with his family members, including wife Shobha and daughter MP K Kavitha, and consoled the girl.
Moved by the tragic physical torture and harassment meted out to her by her father and step-mother, and the tale she narrated, the CM decided to provide everything possible to her through the government, and even said he'd get her marriage performed at his own expense.
"Don't worry, I am with you. You come to my home after being discharged from hospital. I will admit you in a good hostel for your education. Bad times are natural for every human being. One must face difficulties boldly. You must come up in life with higher education, and must be able to help others like you. My government will bear all the expenditure and provide you a house, too. I will also look out for a good boy and have your marriage performed at my own expense. On holidays, you come to my house and stay. My daughter Kavitha will be with you. You can live boldly with Chief Minister KCR's support. You will have adequate police protection, and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy will look after your safety," the Chief Minister assured the bed-ridden girl.
When asked if she wanted anything else, Pratyusha told KCR to ensure that her father and step-mother never came out of jail. She also said that she was having dreams that her step-mother was beating her with sadistic pleasure, and was getting traumatized by the thoughts of her tormentors.
It may be recalled that Pratyusha was hospitalized after she was rescued from her father and step-mother who had allegedly tortured her with third-degree methods. Earlier, the Chief Minister had enquired with the doctors about her health condition.
While KCR spoke with the girl, Shobha put her hand on Pratyusha's head and gave confidence that they would take care of her future.
The Chief Minister directed Ranga Reddy district Collector Raghunandan Rao and Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand to personally look after Pratyusha's health and security matters respectively.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, MPs Kavitha and Suman, Cyberabad C P Anand, RR district Collector Raghunandan Rao and others were present.
