KCR Orders Release Of One TMC Water From Yellampally To FFC
The Telangana CM directed the irrigation officials to release one TMC of water from Yellampally to the Flood Flow Canal utilizing the SRSP Revival Scheme.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed the irrigation officials to release 1 TMC of water from Yellampally to the Flood Flow Canal utilizing the SRSP Revival Scheme.
MLAs belonging to the united old Karimnagar district brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that there was not enough water available in the SRSP, and that the ayacut farmers were facing problems as a result. Responding to their request, the CM directed the officials to utilize the alternative way provided under the SRSP Revival Scheme.
He instructed that 1 TMC of water be released from Yellampally to the Flood Flow Canal via Nandi Medaram, Lakshmipuram, Rampur and Rajeshwarpet.
With this, the CM said, water should be given for the SRSP rabi crop for lands under the Balkonda, Jagtial, Choppadandi, Karimnagar, Vemulawada, and Dharmapuri constituencies.
Engineer-in-Chief Anil said that water would be released in line with the instructions given by the CM.
