All India Congress Committee official spokesperson Madhu Yashki Goud alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's Independence Day speech was deceptive.
Referring to KCR's repeated claims of development in his speech, Goud claimed that the government had just aimed for too less in terms of development. He asked whether the term "development" meant only providing rice and tap water to the people of the State.
Goud also accused KCR's family of indulging in dynastic politics, illegal land settlements and illegal sand mining. He alleged that the police had killed gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin as he was causing problems to one of KCR's close associates.
