After completing five years of statehood Telangana enters its sixth year tomorrow, and on the occasion Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao greeted the people of the State and conveyed his best wishes.
The CM expressed his happiness that Telangana, which came into being after a valiant people's movement, had made "rapid strides in all spheres of development and become a torch-bearer for many innovative programs in the country that other States were emulating".
The CM also said that in the past five years the State had laid a firm foundation for achieving the goal of Bangaru (golden) Telangana, and had taken significant steps ahead in this regard.
The CM appealed to the people to become stakeholders in the efforts being put in by the government to offer transparent governance and extend better services. He exuded confidence that the Telangana society, which experienced what it feels like to achieve goals through unity, would once again show the same zeal to reach its development goals.
KCR also paid rich tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for statehood for Telangana.
