Getting nostalgic, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today recalled how he used to maintain friendly relations with local Dubbaka officials to complete works under the Janmabhoomi program when Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
Participating at various developmental programs in Dubbaka of the Medak district on Monday along with Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP K Prabhakar Reddy and officials, KCR announced sops to the constituency.
After laying the foundation stone for a Zilla Parishat High School building and a junior college, being constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crores, KCR announced Rs 3 crores for the local Balaji temple's development, and also sanctioned a residential school, a 100-bed hospital, a town hall construction with Rs 5 crores, a shaadi khana, Rs 4.86 crores for the Ramasamudram lake beautification, 10,000 new gas connections and some power sub-stations.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the constituency development and announced Rs 25 lakhs for each gram panchayat and Rs 50 lakhs for every mandal.
He also announced double bedroom houses for the poor in the segment.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled that the Medak district was at the forefront in implementing the Janmabhoomi program during the TDP regime "as we used to get works done by the officials by interacting with them in a very cordial manner". Recollecting his friends from those days, KCR said he would throw a Party for them.
KCR also spoke of how his father wanted him to be a district Collector, an engineer or a doctor as any other father did, but how he was fond of the Telugu language and became a politician and now the Chief Minister.
