Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today praised his Finance Minister Etela Rajender for presenting a "balanced budget".
The Chief Minister said that this budget was different from the previous ones and was prepared on the basis of ground realities, and claimed that it would help rural economic growth. It would definitely improve the living standards of the poor, women and small-time employees, while simultaneously boosting the growth of the state economy, he said.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that the government had allocated a major chunk of the budget to the upliftment of the SC, ST and BC sections, and expressed his happiness over such huge allocations for the encouragement of caste-based professions.
"The Finance Minister gave equal priority to all sections. The allocation of funds both for the execution of works and for developmental activities has been done in a balanced manner," KCR said.
