Telangana Congress (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy today alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was borrowing huge amounts for the sake of commissions, and that KCR's family was looting the State like a dacoit gang.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday along with CLP leader K Jana Reddy, Leader Of Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Ponnala Laxmaiah, V Hanumantha Rao and Mallu Ravi, he also alleged that KCR was taking "suitcases" from Andhra contractors.
He also took serious exception to the Chief Minister's outburst against the Congress in Warangal district on Friday, and accused KCR of speaking like a low-level person.
The TPCC president said that it was not the Congress leaders that were "sannasulu" as alleged by KCR, but the TRS leaders. He warned that the Congress leaders would retaliate in the same manner if KCR used such language.
Stating that the surplus power in the State was because of the previous government's efforts, he alleged that the KCR government didn't generate even a single unit of power. He also said that the Chief Minister was claiming the Congress' projects as his own while switching them on, and warned that the Congress leaders would not keep quiet if KCR continued to indulge in such low-level politics.
"KCR lies whenever he opens his mouth. The TRS government did nothing except spend on wild publicity. KCR constructed a house with several crores of rupees and roamed in chartered flights," he alleged.
He also asked KCR how he could fulfill his personal vows with public money in the secular country, and said that KCR himself should bear the expenditure of the ornaments given to the temples.
