Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday reiterated his commitment to waive off agricultural loans.
Addressing a meeting at Armoor during his day-long visit to the district, KCR said that the promise of farm loan waiver could not be implemented due to some objections raised by the Reserve Bank of India.

He said that the scheme would benefit nearly 39,000 families of farmers in Telangana.
Recalling the promises made by the TRS in its manifesto, KCR said that the government was already working on them.
Alleging large-scale corruption in the housing scheme implemented by the previous Congress regime, he said that a probe had been ordered into the same, and that stern action would be taken against the guilty.
He assured that the TRS government would provide 2-bedroom houses at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh each to homeless people. He said modern housing colonies with all the facilities would be constructed soon.
Earlier, KCR laid the foundation stone for a water treatment plan, which will be completed within one year. The Chief Minister also promised to construct a 100-bed hospital in Armoor.
He also assured that water would be supplied to 18 villages through the Gufta Lift Irrigation project.
He announced that the government would provide financial assistance to beedi workers, and that a new pension scheme for handicapped persons would be implemented from Deepavali.
