Probably annoyed at the Centre for not giving as much importance to Telangana as to Andhra Pradesh with regard to projects, allocations of funds and houses for the poor, and welfare initiatives, the TRS MPs are preparing to stall the proceedings of the Parliament session beginning Nov 26.
They will try to mount pressure on the Centre by storming the podium in Parliament, it is learnt.
The issues to be taken up are national highways, national status to the Pranahitha-Chevalla project, bifurcation of the High Court, allocations of funds and housing for poor.
To direct the strategy to be adopted by the Party in Parliament, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called a meeting of the MPs and asked them to rake up all the above issues in the House during the session.
The MPs present in the meeting were Jithender Reddy, B Vinod Kumar, K Kesava Rao, K Kavitha, B Suman, Vishweshwar Reddy and B Narsaiah Goud.
It may be noted that the TRS leadership is unhappy with the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for denying funds for the crop-loan waiver and the meagre allocation of houses to the State, and for not making any promise of national status to Pranahitha-Chevalla.
