Rachabanda Delayed In Kadapa
Speculation is rife that the Kadapa Rachabanda has been delayed to help the Congress win the favour of the electorate closer to the by-election.

The seriousness of the Congress to hand out a crushing defeat to former MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in his home turf of Kadapa can be gauged by the fact that the party has begun its preparations for a full-length campaign, in view of the approaching by-election.
The preparations have begun even as the official notification is yet to be issued.
The intense desire of the Congress leadership to win the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and the Pulivendula Assembly seat, is speculated to be the reason that the ruling party chose to postpone the mass contact programme Rachabanda in the district.
The delay in holding Rachabanda, a flagship Congress program that facilitates distribution of assets to the poor, in Kadapa is considered as a move to derive the desired impact from the electorate. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will make his presence felt in the Rachabanda program on February 11 in Kadapa - the hotbed of politics and the bastion of the YSR family.
That the said mass-contact program will come in handy for the party functionaries in the district to enlist the support of voters, is a foregone conclusion.
The Chief Minister is also expected to make a night halt in the district, to facilitate meetings with the local party leaders and to discuss with them local issues, apart from instilling confidence in them as they work towards the ruling party candidate's success in the by-election.
Medical and Health Services Minister D L Ravindra Reddy, who is from the Mydukur constituency, on Monday expressed confidence in the Chief Minister's program, which he said is an efficient way of drilling the party's message into the electorate.
Reddy is sure that his party will win the elections, despite the high optimism in its rivals' camps.
The Minister had a meeting with 20-Point Economic Programme Chairman N Tulasi Reddy, and Minister for Wakf and Minorities' Welfare Syed Ahmedullah, at the Secretariat on Monday. They held discussions on the Rachabanda programme, scheduled for February 11, and the Lok Sabha election.
Later, Dr. Ravindra Reddy told mediapersons that the Chief Minister will start a 250MW power substation, and attend Rachabanda meetings in Kadapa and then in Duvvuru.
Kiran Kumar Reddy will distribute house-site certificates, pensions and Pavvala Vaddi, among others, to the beneficiaries. He will also unveil a statue of former minister P Sari Reddy in the district.
The Galeru Nagari flood flow canal progress, Gandikota tunnel and KC Canal will also form part of the Chief Minister's enquiries.
