Telugu Desam Party's Krishna district president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, on Monday, alleged that suspended Telugu Desam Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani had accepted a bribe of Rs. 30 crore offered by YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan after attending a meeting convened by party president N Chandrababu Naidu with the Krishna district leaders, Devineni charged that Kodali Nani had colluded with Jagan and back-stabbed the TDP for monetary benefits.
Stating that the people of the constituency would not forgive Nani for his act, he said that they would teach him a fitting lesson at an appropriate time.
Umameheshwara Rao demanded that the party bar those who indulge in anti-party activities for 5 years from the elections.
"At a time when the party is fighting against corruption, Kodali Nani has joined hands with the corrupt Jaganmohan Reddy, which would send a wrong message to people," he asserted. (INN)
