The CBI Special Court at Nampally, on Friday, granted bail to Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy, who was arrested in the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Earlier, the court had extended his judicial remand to 27 April. However, after hearing a bail petition, the court granted him bail.
The court has asked Vijay Sai Reddy to furnish 2 sureties of Rs. 25,000 each.
Vijay Sai Reddy has also been asked to surrender his passport, and to not leave Hyderabad without intimating the Central Bureau Of Investigation.
Vijay Sai Reddy was lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail, after he was arrested on 2 January this year in the disproportionate assets case of the Kadapa MP. He was named as the second accused in the charge-sheet recently filed by the CBI. (INN)
