The senior BJP leader's absence in the party programs attended by Telangana party president G Kishan Reddy indicates that the rift between them has widened.
Though senior Telangana BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy recently visited the state party headquarters, his absence in the party programs attended by Telangana party president G Kishan Reddy in the Mahabubnagar district today appears to indicate that the rift between them had further widened.
Nagam, who has been keeping away from party activities for some time, had visited the state BJP headquarters at Nampally and met some leaders and workers on August 6. He has been organising his press conferences outside the party office, generating rumors that he might join some other party. But his visit to the party office halted the rumor mill. But his absence in the party program in the Mahabubnagar district on Thursday again gave room for speculation about his continuing in the BJP.
Reddy, who joined the BJP after quitting the TDP during the Telangana movement, seems unhappy at not being given due importance by the party leadership.
Sources close to Nagam said they had no information about the visit of party president Kishan Reddy to the Mahabubnagar district.
