Indian Mujahideen Bomb Instructor Arrested
Police records show that Maqbool was instrumental not only in setting up the Indian Muslim Mohammadin Mujahideen, but also in at least 5 bomb blasts all over the country.

Sayed Maqbool, who is suspected to have istructed four alleged members of the Indian Mujahideen in the use of improvsed explosives, was tracked down and arrested here in Hyderabad, on Tuesday, October 23, by the Delhi Police.
As heard from the police; Asad Khan, Imran Khan, Sayed Feroz and Landge Irfan Mustafa - the suspected IM members who are also thought to have a hand in the Pune serial blasts of August 1 - apparently disclosed details related to Sayed Maqbool. They also confessed that they had had plans to attack the Bodh Gaya Buddhist shrines in Bihar, said the police.
Maqbool, who had been hiding in Hyderabad to evade arrests, allegedly met Imran in prison - where he was incarcerated from 2000 to 2009 in relation to a murder case, who in turn introduced him to Asad and Irfan.
“Maqbool taught them how to make a bomb using urea, diesel and firecracker powder at Asad’s farmhouse in Aurangabad.", claimed a senior police officer.
