KCR To Fast Against GO 177
TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao has stated that he would go on an indefinite hunger strike if the government fails to scrap the recentley issued GO 177.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday stated that he would go on an indefinite hunger strike for employees of the state government if it fails to scrap the recently-issued GO 177, which prevents employees from participating in agitations and strikes.
Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, the TRS chief said that employees' participation in agitations and strikes to fulfill their genuine demands is justified.
"The draconian law, which prevents employees freedom of expression, should be revoked immediately," KCR stated.
Stating that the Telangana agitation will be revived, KCR said that the agitation was deliberately put on hold to protect the interests of lakhs of students.
He stated that the Defence Ministry has not permitted celebrations of the party's formation day at Parade Grounds on April 27th, on the basis of security reasons.
He further added that the TRS would celebrate the day as the Elected People's Conference, in Mahabubnagar, on April 27th.
Condemning media reports that he had insulted Andhra Brahmins by stating that they were not committed to their position, KCR stated that the reports were baseless and far from truth. (INN)
