Union Home Minister Amit Shah today urged the Naxalites to stop their violence and surrender immediately.
Addressing a farmers' meeting at the Polytechnic Ground in Nizamabad after inaugurating the Turmeric Board National Office, he reaffirmed the Centre's commitment to ending Naxalism.
"Pakistan tried to intimidate India with the Pahalgam attack, but the world witnessed India's power. PM Modi is determined not just to eliminate terrorism but also Naxalism. We will end it by March 30, 2026," he said.
Shah claimed that over 10,000 Naxalites had already surrendered and rejoined the mainstream.
On Telangana politics, he expressed confidence that the BJP would win a majority in all future elections. He accused the BRS of widespread corruption and said that the Congress had turned Telangana into "an ATM for Delhi", and that the people of the State were fed up of the two parties.
He also credited Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind for bringing the turmeric board to the district. "Nizamabad turmeric will soon be exported globally," he said.
