The Institute Of Preventive Medicine, on Tuesday, gave the quality of drinking water being supplied by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply And Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) a clean chit.
The IPM monitored 58 areas in different parts of the GHMC, during the week from 14 to 20 April, and found all the 3 parameters - RC, Physico-Chemical samples and bacteriological samples - were normal.
A total of 349 samples were tested for Residual Chlorine (RC), and in all the samples, RC was found. 35 samples were tested for bacteriological quality, and 21 samples were tested for chemical analysis, and all the samples were found satisfactory, the HMWSSB claimed in a press release. (INN)
