Covid Antigen Tests In All PHCs, 65 Centres

Coronavirus testing is being expanded in the city, with rapid antigen tests now being launched, according to Hyderabad District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr J Venkat.

Coronavirus testing is being expanded in the city, with rapid antigen tests now being launched, according to Hyderabad District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr J Venkat.

He told a press conference today that as many as 65 centres have now been allowed to conduct rapid antigen tests in the city.

These tests would conducted in all the Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and arrangements had been made, he said.

He also said that Nature Cure and Ayurveda Hospitals also have beds now for the treatment of coronavirus patients.

Medical kits were also being given to patients in home isolation. And those who could not remain in home isolation could move to hospitals for isolation, he said.

Dr Venkat said that 16,600 patients had recovered through home isolation, and 11,705 more patients were being treated in that route.
