Hyderabad Book Fair To Be Inaugurated On December 23
The 33rd Hyderabad Book Fair will be inaugurated by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at NTR Stadium on December 23, and will go on for 10 days.
The 33rd Hyderabad Book Fair will be inaugurated by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at NTR Stadium on December 23 at 5 pm, and will go on for 10 days.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Book Fair Society president Juluru Gowri Shankar said that the annual event involving writers and Telugu literary personalities, which was also being supported by the State government, would be an extravaganza as usual for bibliophiles in the city.
The fair will have some 330 stalls, most of them by publishers from various States putting up for sale books in various languages, including English, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Some 80 new writers will also be promoting their books.
Book Fair Society secretary K Chandra Mohan said that the fair had attracted some 10 lakh people in its last edition. The Society was planning to organize 2,000 book fairs in 2020 at various places across the State, he added.
