One pilot died when a plane crashed into a 3-storeyed residential building in New Bowenpally. The Kiran Trainer plane was part of the Sagar Pawan contingent of the Indian Navy, taking part in the Air Show as part of the India Aviation 2010 - the 2nd International Exhibition & Conference On Civil Aviation being held at Begumpet Airport.
The rescue team said that the plane hit a cell tower before crashing into the building, which has been damaged. 2 pilots were on board the aircraft.
Rescue teams are in place, and the air show is continuing as scheduled.
Hi, I was there at the time of crash, I stay in the opposite apartment. I was in my balcony. This crash killed two pilots and this was because of the technical difficulties in the craft, it could not take the upper move and it did not hit the tower first. Pilot jumped off the craft and the co-pilot was in there. Both of them were killed because of the Damn air crafts that we have in INDIA.
