The Telangana police have intensified their combing operations in all the forest areas of the state, especially those in Adilabad district, keeping in view the bandh call given by the banned Maoists demanding the immediate release of revolutionary leader Varavara Rao.
The police have declared a high alert in the undivided Adilabad district forest areas. They have also intensified their operations in the agency areas of the state, and are trying to take control of the forest areas by using drone cameras.
The Maoists' spokesperson Jagan had earlier released a letter calling upon the people of the state to observe a bandh on July 25 to seek the release of Varavara Rao.
