Harish Rao Met Top Congress, BJP Leaders To Defect: Congress

New Congress leader Revanth Reddy today alleged that the TRS was resorting to a false campaign on party defections.

Speaking to the media at the Assembly Media Hall on Saturday evening, Revanth alleged that Harish Rao had held deliberations with former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy to join the Congress then.

Rao had also held discussions with close aides of the late YSR to merge the TRS into the Congress then, Reddy claimed. However, the merger of the TRS into the Congress was stalled due to YSR's sudden death, Reddy said.

Reddy also alleged that Rao had met BJP national president Amit Shah twice secretly, and had also held discussions with the latter's relative, a key leader in the BJP.
