Harish Rao Flays Jagan For Letter On Palamur
The Telangana Irrigation Minister slammed YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his letter to the Centre against the Palamur and Dindi projects.
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today slammed YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for writing a letter to the Centre against the Palamur and Dindi lift irrigation projects.
Talking to reporters, Rao criticized Jagan's request to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi to intervene and stall the works on the grounds that the Palamur project had no permissions from the Centre, and for siding with the Andhra Pradesh government on the issue.
Rao sought to know whether Jagan would oppose the orders issued by his own father and the then chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
Though the YSR regime had given permissions to the Nakkalagandi project, Jagan was now opposing it without any knowledge, he charged.
Rao also complained that injustice was meted out to Telangana during the YSR and Chandrababu Naidu regimes.
Referring to the Revanth Reddy episode, he challenged Naidu to resign as the AP Chief Minister if the audio tapes proved his voice.
Naidu should also reveal the actual kingpin of the entire episode if he wasn't the person, Rao demanded.
The minister also asked why Naidu wasn't suspending Revanth Reddy from the party if he (Naidu) had no role to play.
Stating that his government was not afraid of ACB cases and would not retreat, he alleged that Naidu was the main accused in the case, and will face the consequences. (NSS)
