Govt Must Improve Relations With Centre: BJP
The Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy said the TRS government should avoid politics during non-election periods to ensure the development of Telangana.
Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy appealed to the TRS government to improve its relationship with the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, in the interests of Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office, Reddy said that politics should take a backseat during non-election periods and all parties should work together for the development of the country and the States.
Therefore, instead of indulging in politics, the TRS government should maintain a cordial relationship with the Centre to ensure the development of Telangana.
Citing an example, he said as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi had maintained a highly cordial relationship with the Congress-led UPA Government for 10 years.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believed that political differences should be confined to election periods, and that during normal days everyone must think about development.
Kishan Reddy said that Union Power Minister Piyush Goel had given an assurance to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that the Centre would supply 1,320 MW of power to Telangana by connecting the Northern and Southern Grids.
He said that the Centre had also agreed to give permission and funds for a Solar Power Plant if the State Government provided 5,000 acres of land.
He said that despite Telangana being late in making a representation, the Power Minister had assured all support to the new State. (INN)
