Gambling Den Busted In Kalapathar

The Hyderabad City Police busted a gaming racket, and arrested 5 persons involved in illegal card games.
On a tip-off, the South Zone team of the Commissioner's Task Force conducted a raid at a house near Ismail Patel Masjid in Kalapathar, and caught 5 persons playing Teen Patti.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ahmed Ali, Mirza Amjad Baig, Syed Ahmed, Mahmood Bin Abdul Rahman, and Md. Sadeq, all residents of the Old City.
According to the police, the arrested were indulging in gambing, near Ismail Patel Masjid in Ali Bagh, Kalapathar.
During the enquiry, it was revealed that the accused Ahmed Ali is the owner of the house that was used as gambling den.
Thanks to financial problems, Ali wanted to easy money, and started running gambling racket gathering his friends and collecting a kitty amount from them.
The accused Syed Ahmed is a rowdy-sheeter from Kanchanbagh Police Station area, and was earlier arrested by the Moghalpura Police in a gambling case.
Police have also seized cash of Rs. 25,430, playing cards, and 2 mobile phones from their possession. The arrested accused and seized material were handed over to Kalapathar Police Station for further action. (INN)
