Folk Singer, Telangana Warehousing Corporation Chairman Saichand Passes Away
Folk singer, Telangana statehood activist and Telangana State Warehousing Corporation Chairman V Sai Chander passed away due to a cardiac arrest this morning.

Folk singer, Telangana statehood activist and Telangana State Warehousing Corporation Chairman V Sai Chander, popularly known as Saichand, passed away due to a cardiac arrest this morning.
He was rushed to Care Hospital in Gachibowli where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
He was 39, and is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
Saichand along with family members went to his farmhouse at Karukonda village in Nagarkurnool district and spent the day there on Wednesday. Late at night he complained of chest pain, and was shifted to a private hospital in Nagarkurnool town. As his condition deteriorated, his family members shifted him to Care Hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Born in Amarachintha village of Wanaparthy district on September 20, 1984, Saichand gained a name as an artist and a singer early in his life. He inspired people with his songs during the Telangana statehood movement. After the formation of Telangana State, he continued his cultural activities, and created awareness among the people about the development programs being implemented by the State government.
Saichand assumed charge as the Chairman of the Telangana State Warehousing Corporation on December 24, 2021.
BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Saichand, and extended his condolences to the bereaved family members.
KCR recollected Saichand's contribution through his songs during the cultural movement in the second phase of the Telangana struggle, and said that his untimely death at the time that he was rising to a higher level was very painful.
Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, MPs, BRS leaders, BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay, TPCC president Revanth Reddy and others too expressed shock over the sudden demise of Saichand, and conveyed their condolences to the family.
