An angry father allegedly chased and hacked a Vidya volunteer to death after the latter allegedly stalked his daughter early on Saturday at Kondapet village, Chenuru mandal in Kadapa district.
According to SDPO Umamaheshwar, Naushad Hussain (60) threw chilli powder into the eyes of C Chaitanya Kumar (29), a Vidya volunteer of Kondapet Upper Primary School, before chasing and killing him.
In his statement, Naushad Hussain stated that Chaitanya Kumar was his daughter's colleague in Kondapet.
Chaitanya had allegedly filmed Hussain's 20-year-old daughter while she was taking a bath, and used this clip to stalk and blackmail her to return his amorous advances.
Hussain added that after being pestered by Chaitanya, his daughter was forced to quit her job. The accused further added that he had come to know of the blackmailing attempt and had warned Chaitanya to mend his ways and delete the video clip.
Hussain could not bear the torment any longer, when Chaitanya continued to harass his daughter, and he took the first available opportunity to eliminate his daughter's tormentor.
Chaitanya's body was shifted to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered under Section 302 IPC. According to information, Hussain and his daughter are being questioned to verify their versions.
