Hyderabad | 23rd November 2020
A farmer's family today tried to commit suicide in front of the CM's camp office Pragathi Bhavan claiming that it was not able to cope with the harassment of Shamirpet inspector Santosh.

The police present at the camp office thwarted them.

The farmer was identified as Bikshapati, and his wife as Buchamma.

The family members tried to kill themselves by pouring kerosene over themselves. The police quickly poured water over their bodies.

Speaking on the occasion, the family alleged that the police inspector was trying to sell 1.3 acres of their land located in Kothoor village of Shamirpet mandal to others.

They said that they attempted the extreme step as they did not have any means to highlight their problems and protect their land.
