Telangana Education Secretary Dr B Janardhan Reddy today said that the government had received a report from the three-member expert committee that it had set up to look into the Intermediate results row.
The government had set up the committee to find the alleged lapses and irregularities in the Inter results reported by the media.
Interacting with media persons briefly, Reddy said that the committee had given a 10-page report with an additional 46 pages of data as annexures, and that the government would go through it before going to take any action.
He added that he had called on Chief Secretary S K Joshi and apprised him of the report, and that they would be discussing the further steps shortly.
Reddy also said that the government had instructed the Collectors to focus on fool-proof re-verification of the answer sheets of the failed 3.28 lakh students. Arrangements had been made for the purpose in 132 centres, he added. To ensure speedy and smooth completion of the process, the Dharani website of the government was being used, he said.
Board of Intermediate Education chief Ashok informed that 12 centres had been set up for re-verification and re-counting, and that about 70,000 to 1.5 lakh answer sheets were being verified in every centre.
