Sardar Trilok Singh has been elected as the president of the Prabhandak Committee of the Central Gurudwara Saheb.
The election to the president's post was held at Central Gurudwara Saheb in Gowliguda.
Trilok Singh defeated his nearest rival, S Inder Singh, by a margin of 148 votes.
Presiding officer S Inder Singh Malhotra said that out of the 3,208 voters, about 1,788 had voted.
While Trilok secured 899 votes, Inder Singh secured 751 votes. Another candidate, S Sandeep Singh, who was in the fray, got 120 votes. 18 votes were invalid.
The voters hailed from Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Warangal, Karminagar, Nizamabad, Nanded (Maharashtra) and other nearby districts. (INN)
