Sleuths of the Special Investigation Team constituted to investigate the drugs case today grilled small-time Telugu film actor Tanish for four hours and apparently got important information from him in connection with the drug peddling.
Speaking to the media after the interrogation at Abkari Bhavan, Tanish said that he had answered all the questions posed by the SIT.
Tanish said that his family and he were pained a lot on the news about him in the media in connection with the drugs case. He said that he had been acting in films for the last several years and had never faced any allegations.
"I am in deep pain as my father passed away recently and I am yet to come out of the agony. At this juncture, I was shocked at notices being served on me in connection with drugs case. All the responsibilities of my family had fallen upon me after the demise of my father. I have also stopped attending parties and dinners. At this moment, notices in connection with the drugs case have pained my family members severely, too. I have no links with the drugs case," he stated.
It is learnt that the SIT had given notice to Tanish on "irrefutable" evidence that he had links with drugs kingpin Calvin.
Tanish is a side-actor who has featured in minor roles in films since 2002 including
Ninne Premistha,
Devullu,
Manmadhudu and
Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda, and will be seen in the upcoming Nakshatram.
