The depression in Bay of Bengal which is lashing coastal Andhra is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm.
The depression is likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move north-west, westwards towards south Andhra Pradesh coast and Tamil Nadu, according to indications given by the Chief Minister.
The low pressure over south Andaman Sea still persists as a well-marked pressure. The system is likely to convert into a depression in the same area in the next 24 hours.
The State has received 142 mm rainfall under the impact of the cyclone, during the last 4 days.
North-east monsoon has been vigorous over Rayalaseema and active over south coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain occurred at most places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, and at a few places over Telangana.
The stations that recorded heavy rainfall in centimetres are Amalapuram (East Godavari district): 11 cm; Amarapuram (Anantapur district): 9 cm; Kuppam, Puttur and Srikalahasti (all Chittoor district): 8 cm each.

Arogyavaram, Chittoor, Kakinada, Nellore, Addanki (Prakasam district), Chinnoor (Adilabad district), Narsipatnam (Visakhapatnam district), Seetharamapuram, Udayagiri and Vinjamur (all Nellore district): 3 cm each.
Narsapur, Anakapalle (Visakhapatnam district), Atchampet and Piduguralla (Guntur district), Chilamattur, Kadiri and Madakasira (Anantapur district), Cumbum (Prakasam district), Huzurabad (Karimnagar district), Palamaner and Venkatagiri Kota (Chittoor district), Pulivendala (Cuddapah district), Sullurpet (Nellore district): 2 cm each.
On Tuesday, the minimum temperatures fell at a few places in Rayalaseema and changed a little in coastal Andhra Pradesh, but rose at a few places in Telangana.
Temperatures were significantly above normal at a few places in Telangana, above normal at many places in Rayalaseema, and at 1 or 2 places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree celsius was recorded at Adilabad.
