Telangana Ministers Should Resign: Yadav Reddy

Congress MLC Yadav Reddy has demanded that all ministers from the Telangana region resign en masse from Kiran Kumar Reddy's cabinet in protest against the decision to change D Sridhar Babu's portfolio.

Speaking to media persons, Yadav Reddy said that stripping the Legislative Affairs portfolio from Sridhar Babu was an insult to all people of the Telangana region. He said that although the Chief Minister was empowered to change the portfolios of his cabinet colleagues, changing such a crucial portfolio at a time when the Assembly is set to debate the Telangana Bill is highly inappropriate. He said that the Chief Minister had set a wrong precedent with his actions.

Yadav Reddy said that all Telangana ministers should resign from the cabinet to register their protest. He said that the Chief Minister's action suggests that he was indeed planning to launch his own political party. The Congress High Command should take serious action against Kiran Kumar Reddy, he demanded. (INN)
