Cyberabad Police Destroys 2,380 Kg Narcotic Drugs

The Drug Disposal Committee of the Cyberabad Police destroyed 2,380 kg of narcotic drugs worth Rs 7,17,82,650 on November 12, 2024.
The destruction took place at G J Multiclave (India) Pvt Ltd, a common bio-medical waste treatment and disposal facility in Edulapally village, Ranga Reddy district.
The destroyed narcotics included 2,286.679 kg of ganja, 354 gram of ganja plant, 45.769 kg of ganja chocolates, 132 gram of ganja powder, 8 litres and 298 millilitres of hashish oil, 87.518 gram of MDMA, 72.97 gram of cocaine, 26.756 kg of charas, 10 kg of Alprazolam, 1.64 kg of opium poppy and eight units of LSD blots.
These narcotics were connected to 155 cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, across five zones - Balanagar, Madhapur, Medchal, Rajendranagar and Shamshabad - covering 31 police stations within the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
The disposal committee was led by its Chairman, DCP (Crimes) K Narasimha, along with ACP Cyber Crimes Ravinder Reddy, CCRB ACP Kalinga Rao, Narcotics Additional DCP G Narsimha Reddy, and their team.
