Three more cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Telangana today, taking the total to 47 in the state.
Speaking to the media, Health Minister Etala Rajender said that 47 positive cases had been reported in the state so far.
He also said that the state government was combating the spread of the virus in the state effectively.
Etala said that there were 22 medical colleges across the state that were equipped with the necessary medical staff and equipment to take on the rising cases. While the government had initially decided to use only government hospitals, it had decided now to use private colleges too for diagnosis and treatment of Covid-19 patients, he said. There were 10,000 beds, 700 ICUs and 170 ventilators in these hospitals, Etala said.
