Fill Vacant Posts: Cong Leaders

Chairpersons for the SC and BC Corporation and the Mahila Commission have been vacant for long.

Former minister M Mareppa on Saturday urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to appoint a chairperson for the SC and BC Corporation and the Mahila Commission.

Talking to media persons, Mareppa stated that the posts have been vacant for long, and that these vacancies have been affecting the functioning of the bodies.

Meanwhile, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Shankar Rao appealed to the CM to fill up the nominated posts by senior Congress leaders as there were many aspirants.

Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat, Shankar Rao revealed that he had already brought this matter to the notice of the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and that she is understood to have given a silent nod to it.
