A host of Congress leaders today called on Dr P Shankar Rao at a corporate hospital, where he is recuperating.

A host of Congress leaders today called on Dr P Shankar Rao at Care Hospital, Banjara Hills, where he is recuperating.

Prominent among those who called on to enquire about his health include, minister K Jana Reddy, MP Vivek, and former minister Peddireddy Ramchandra Reddy.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had earlier ordered an inquiry into the way in which police had allegedly manhandled him while taking him into custody for questioning.

Meanwhile, Dr Shankar Rao's daughter filed a case against Chief Minister and DGP for conspiring to harass her father as he had exposed some corruption charges against N Kiran Kumar Reddy. (INN)
